The Pollution Adjudication Board (PAB) has issued to Philex Mining Corp. a formal lifting of the cease-and-desist order it had imposed on the company’s gold-and-copper production in Benguet, paving the way for the permanent resumption of operations at Padcal mine.

Fulfilling its commitment for environmental protection, Philex Mining Corp. today paid its obligation to the government in line with the Clean Water Act, following its remediation works after the 2012 tailings-leak accident at its Padcal mine site, in Itogon, Benguet.
